Singo’s tower, officially known
as the Bonython Tower, is powering ahead. I have no idea what exactly they’re
doing at the moment but it must be something to do with the foundations of the
ground floor, at the level of Mann Street.
(Non-locals and new locals, the
way to solve the Mann Street/Manns Road confusion is to simply memorise this:
“Mann Street is main street”.)
Two days later. Powering ahead.
People who are just walking past the site on Mann Street can’t see anything and
have no idea how fast the site is moving ahead.
We had a bit of rain on Monday.
Not a downpour but I expect rain is always a problem to some degree on a
building site. This photo was taken on the 1st of August.
I’d love to hear from any
builders on the subject of weather problems on building sites. Click on “comments” below and type in the box that

The same part of the site on
the 3rd of August. Like I said, powering ahead. This site and the
Hills Street site, near the corner of Dwyer Street are the two fastest moving
in Gosford. (Another fast mover is the Narringa site in Woy Woy, at the corner
of Blackwall Road and Terry Avenue.)
On the 20th of July,
just 2 weeks ago, this is the spot in the photo immediately below.
And this was it yesterday, the
3rd of August.
At the west end, the Mann
Street end, of the site on the 1st of August.
And the Mann Street end again
on the 3rd of August.
I’m finding myself rather
excited by this site. I’m looking forward to watching it keep growing at the
same pace it’s grown so far.
By the way, I spend quite a bit of time trying to solve strange formatting inconsistencies on this website. To little avail.
